![]() ![]() What makes it extremely rare in the Mahabharata war dating effort is that the 42day pilgrimage must also end on a Shravana Nakshatra AND this must be an Amavasya. ![]() Pushya nakshatra occurs 12 times or so in a year, BUT Guruwar Pushya is rare. What makes this Pushya to Shravana timeline so special and unique? ![]() Pushya Nakshatra is the most auspicious Nakshatra of the Hindu Jyotish tradition and so that’s why it’s doubly important to show that Balarama starts on a Pushya only and ends on a Shravana Nakshatra only. The 42 day timeline also ends on day 18 of the war, this means that the war and pilgrimage timelines are intimately tied together. One of the most difficult corroborations in the Mahabharata is Balarama’s pilgrimage which demands a condition that Balarama travels from Pushya to Shravana Nakshatra in 42 days as per verse 33:05-6 of Shalya Parva. ![]()
